Sam began his insurance career in 1987. In 1989, he became employed by the Harrison Agency. He obtained his Certified Insurance Counselor designation in 1996 and his Certified Professional Insurance Agent designation in 2013. Sam is a national instructor for the National Alliance. He is also a national faculty member of the Agribusiness and Farm Insurance Specialist program.

He has been called on to offer insurance education in conferences across the country and has serviced as an expert consultant to several law firms. Sam currently serves as president of the Missouri Insurance Education Foundation and is a former “Young Agent of the Year” award winner for Missouri.
